Where Anchor came from
He was 17 months old.
No words. Just screaming.
His mother had just received the autism diagnosis. She didn't know where to turn — until a community of mothers found her and told her something no doctor had said:
"He can't tell you it hurts. So he screams."
That community of mothers — none of them doctors, all of them experienced — had discovered something through trial, error, and love: that pain speaks before language can. That when you quiet the body, the voice has room to come through.
That child is now 22 years old. A math major. In college.
And he still needs somewhere to go when the day gets too loud.
Anchor was built for him. And for every person who has ever felt something they couldn't name — and needed somewhere to hold on.
Built by CeCe Blue — BS Foods and Nutrition, MS Training and Development.
Questions
Everything you need to know
Is this therapy?
No. Anchor is a self-help emotional awareness tool. It is not therapy, a diagnostic instrument, or a crisis service — though crisis resources are embedded throughout. Always work with qualified professionals for clinical needs.
Is this only for autistic people?
Anchor was inspired by the autistic experience and built with that community at its center. But emotional dysregulation, shutdown, numbness, and not knowing what you're feeling are human experiences. Anchor is for anyone who has ever needed somewhere to go.
Does it work on any phone?
Yes. Anchor works in Safari and Chrome on any iPhone or Android. Open Safari or Chrome — not the Google app — and go to ceceblueink.com/anchor. You can save it to your home screen and it opens like an app.
I'm an ABA therapist. Can I use this with clients?
Yes — with a Professional or Clinic license. The Personal license covers individual personal use only. The Professional license includes a Practitioner Guide and Session Integration Guide to help you introduce Anchor ethically and effectively.
What about international users?
Anchor is accessible anywhere in the world. Crisis resources include US hotlines and a link to Befrienders.org — an international directory covering crisis support in 50+ countries. Because Anchor lives on our website rather than as a downloadable file, crisis resources can be updated instantly if anything ever changes.
Will CEU credit be available?
A CEU training course for ABA therapists using Anchor with clients is currently in development. BACB ACE provider application is in progress. Professional license holders will receive CEU credit automatically when approved — at no additional cost.
